I can’t believe I even have to do this, but apparently we have now reached the point where we do attract the worst element along with the best.
- Commenting here is not a right, and the privilege is purely at the whim of the authors of this site.
- Obscenity, outright profanity, and anything disgusting or rude will get you banned — no “three strikes” rule, although I may offer grace to people who get carried away in the moment. To misquote Heinlein, comment here will conform to my notions of propriety, and I reserve the right to explain what those are ahead of time or not. I think you’ll find me reasonable, though.
- Being illogical, irretrievably ignorant, or stupid will probably not get you banned, unless you’re really tiresome about it. It might get you lampooned, though.
- If spambots read comment policies, I would say something about those too.
- Under the right circumstances, we are a “dofollow” blog. We use Lucia’s Linky Love to manage the follow status of our comment links.
