Justin Rigali, the former Archbishop of St. Louis and current Archbishop of Philadelphia, is offering plenary indulgences. Paging Dr. Luther? An interesting note in that Philadelphia Inquirer article is how indulgences break the spirit of the agreement that the Roman Catholic Church signed with the Lutheran World Federation (which does not speak for all Lutherans).
