One of my favorite Tom and Jerry quotes is in this cartoon. “Boy, are you corny. You act like a square at the fair. A goon from Saskatoon. You come on like a broken ‘off.’ You’re a sad apple. A long-hair. A cornhusker. In other words, you don’t send me. So bail out, brother. Get lost. And here’s your rat, cat.”

I sure wish I had a zoot suit.
Was that one of the later ones? Because… They talked.
I wish I fit into a zoot suit.
It’s not a later one; this is a very unusual one in all the talking he does, but it’s definitely in the good (Chuck Jones or earlier) days. One clue is that Tom always has a different voice; this is purely to make fun of a dying fad.
“I am, what you call it, a hep cat. I am hep… to the jive.”
Yeah… I probably wouldn’t do a zoot suit justice, either. Whether it’s made of a hammock or not…
Well, it’s different… Hopefully not the one with which the newer ones based their talking on. I still prefer the non-talking cat and mouse ones, though.
Double <blockquote>s don’t work?
Guess not. Are they in spec?

Well, it looks like you can nest blockquotes in HTML4. Hm. I guess WP’s draconian comment control code is the problem.
