I just discovered that the actor who plays the current regeneration of Doctor Who, David Tennant, is 35 years old.
I am 34. I am only a year younger than the current Doctor.
This suggests that there is a very good chance that within the next couple of regenerations (if the series continues to live on) I will be older than the actor who is playing the Doctor.
I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.
In other news, I have doubts about certain things I heard on the local 70s-80s radio station this weekend:
- I doubt that Neil Diamond really never had better times than with Sweet Caroline.
- I doubt that Annie Lennox has really sailed the seven seas, looking for anything.
- I doubt that surrendering my dreams to Pat Benatar would result in them coming true (particularly since none of them involve her).
- I have heard Head East sing that they are “goin’ down for the last time” so many times that I suspect that they aren’t really drowning at all.
- I wonder how long it has been since Rod Stewart could possibly have collected his books and headed back to school.
- I doubt that the making of the album Paradise Theater was really the “Best of Times” for Dennis DeYoung, or in fact any member of Styx.
- Ian Anderson may be “too old to rock and roll” but I doubt that he is “too young to die” anymore.
- I doubt that Air Supply has ever created love ex nihilo, much less anything else.
- I can’t picture Golden Earring ever “going too far.”
- I doubt that Manfred Mann would come for anybody who had broken all his windows and run through all his doors, although I do think that he would demur about asking them to fight his wars.
- Speaking of which, I suspect that war is indeed good for something, even if it’s just preventing a much worse war (Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker notwithstanding).

hmm… nearly as old as the Doctor?
And here I was getting all nostalgic over a tin dog…. (along with a certain Sarah Jane)
and being _older_ than the current Doctor.
Care for a jelly-baby?
