Quit while you’re ahead

Phil Johnson credits Jack Van Impe with presenting him his first clear explanation of the cross and the atonement.

I’ve gotten the impression from others that he (JVI, that is) used to be much more clearly focused on the gospel as a preacher. And of course in the past he didn’t compromise with Rome. If ever there were a time when we see the dangers of knowing anything but Jesus Christ and Him crucified… there you go.
