Even more excuses

This month I am:

  1. Preaching twice (the next two Sundays at GCBC)
  2. Leading a group discussion on Friday night, 27 October, at the church
  3. Writing another article for the church newsletter on apologetics
  4. Watching the kids more often now that Tracey’s got her own business going

…and the result is, I’m not going to have a lot of time for blogging. Plus there are a couple other things happening that I may or may not talk about here. So, once again I need to lean on others to carry the weight of TOOT this month. I’ve got a couple of posts in the long-term hopper but they’re not moving very quickly; one is trying to be funny and one isn’t. Plus I need to finish “Mary vs. Israel” so I can finish my testimony so I can get on with my life. Anyway, hopefully we don’t lose all of you. Just keep us in the aggregator and be patient. Remember, savvy RSS types, if you don’t want to see the asides (which will probably keep coming), then use http://merbc.invigorated.org/archives/category/general/feed as your RSS feed instead of the one linked on the page, and you won’t see anything but front-page material from us.

And if you think about it, pray for me, that I can at least provide a little bit of food for sheep like myself.

Whoa, is GCBC’s website redesigned? At least I seem to remember it differently.

Yeah, Tracey did the design and I did the monkey work.

Wow, the GCBC site looks really nice… You and Tracey have so much gifts/talents. I like the colors and format.

    I’ll second what Jessica said!

    And quote Darth Vader: “Impressive.”

Eh, I stand on the shoulders of giants, particularly with regard to computer skills. What I can’t do is make something that is visually pleasing, unless somebody else sketches out for me what that should look like. I mean, look at this blog template for goodness’ sake. Yes, I got it from somebody else, but I like it because it is almost entirely plain. The very name of the Wordpress theme is “veryplaintxt.” That pretty much sums me up. Very Plain.

Which reminds me. If Tracey and Patrick ever want to stage a coup and make this blog look nice, I won’t complain. Point out a nice theme and I’ll get it working.
